The clients wanted to maximise the potential of their house by converting the large, empty loft. They wanted an open plan space to use as a home office but also a bedroom, dressing area and shower room. The existing house had an awkward entrance space which needed to be simplified and a new stair was to be created to access the loft. I provided them with several design options and the final design features a timber clad dormer window with desk space and a reading nook. The existing brick chimney breast was retained and became a fantastic feature adding texture and dividing the space.
